As part of my PR Practice module we were given some PR briefs to work on for local clients, one of these clients was YMCA Manchester.

YMCA Manchester are a local mental health charity who support young vulnerable people and their families in and around the Manchester and Salford Areas.

YMCA Manchester wanted to focus on Anti-Bullying Week effectively this year so I put together a social media campaign for the charity to use on their Instagram feed #postpositive.

The aim of #postpositive was to encourage young people to use social media in a positive way throughout Anti-Bullying Week 2020 , highlighting that social media should not be a negative place where young people drag each other down.

I produced 5 infographics for the charity to post on Instagram each day of Anti-Bullying Week 2020. Each infographic had a different positive or motivational quote on it.

YMCA Manchester got a good response from this campaign and succeeded in raising awareness of Anti-Bullying Week 2020 and reminding young people to be kind and positive on social media.

I really enjoyed working with the charity to help make a difference to young peoples lives during these tough times!

I have linked YMCA Manchester Instagram below so you can have a look at what I created:
